Peter's Nürburgring diary on Motorsport Online

"I knew I was going to be in the car around 4.30pm as we were all starting with single stints. As an endurance driver, I don’t have rituals before I get in the car. You can’t easily do that in a 24-hour event, as you’d have to do it a few times! It’s just not realistic so I just make sure that I’m in the garage three laps before the car gets there and as you’ll see later, that’s a good rule to have."

Peter and his FALKEN BMW M6 GT3 team finished in 15th place at the Nürburgring's ADAC 24h Race last weekend (May 12-13) in some of the "Green Hell's" harshest weather conditions imaginable. Once again, the race proved to be a brutal on the cars, with extremely slippery track conditions in both the day and night.

Having qualified in 21st position, Peter and team mates Stef Dusseldorp, Alexandre Imperatori and Jens Klingmann suffered electrical problems in the first few hours of the race. Prior to nightfall, they had dropped down to 44th place, four laps down on the leaders, but managed to climb up to 15th by the chequered flag the following day. All were glad to cross the line and celebrate a solid performance.

Peter will be back at the
Nürburgring Nordschleife for VLN3 in June.
