With a time of 44.32 seconds in the Festival of Speed’s ‘Final Shoot Out’, the time also represents the fifth fastest official timed run to be set during the event’s entire 25-year history.

Over four, glorious days of consistent sunshine, NIO showcased its Performance Programme vehicles for the first time in Europe during the Festival’s ‘Silver Jubilee’ year. The first event, in June 1993, redefined what a car event could be and has annually attracted extraordinary vehicles from the dawn of motoring through to the present day at the home of the Duke of Richmond, Goodwood House, in Sussex, England.

The NIO Brand Experience Stand in the main festival arena featured the NIO Formula E Team’s FIA Formula EGen2 test car, the NIO 004, and a further EP9 chassis on show before an enthusiastic capacity crowd.

Peter Dumbreck, NIO EP9 Driver and Record Holder:
“When it came to my run in the Shoot Out this afternoon the timing beacon seemed to be down and I had to go back from the line, then go forward and get ready again, so it kind of broke my concentration. But once I got the signal to go, I was pushing very hard and ran just a little bit wide on turn two. It was very dirty and dusty, but it didn’t lose me too much time and I was back hard on the throttle again. From there, I think I did my best top half of the Hillclimb all weekend and I was able to do my fastest run of the event, so I am really happy. It could have been maybe a tenth or two faster, but I doubt that I would have beaten the Pike’s Peak hillclimb car here today, so all in all, we are very happy.”

Peter to join NIO at the 2018 ‘Festival of Speed - The Silver Jubilee’ at Goodwood

http://www.peterdumbreck.com/updates/peter-to-join-nio-at-the-2018-festival-of-speed-the-silver-jubilee-at-goodwood

http://www.peterdumbreck.com/updates/peter-to-join-nio-at-the-2018-festival-of-speed-the-silver-jubilee-at-goodwood#comments

Uncategorized

The world’s fastest electric supercar, the NIO EP9, will take on the iconic Hillclimb challenge, with Peter at the wheel, at the ‘Festival of Speed - The Silver Jubilee’ event at Goodwood House, England, 12th - 15th July 2018. Peter will be reunited with the EP9 in which he broke the lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife on 12th May 2017 with a time of 6:45.90 minutes. To read the full NIO press release, click here: [...]

To read the full NIO press release, click here:

Taking the Aston Martin Vulcan racing at Le Mans

http://www.peterdumbreck.com/updates/taking-the-aston-martin-vulcan-racing-at-le-mans

http://www.peterdumbreck.com/updates/taking-the-aston-martin-vulcan-racing-at-le-mans#comments

Uncategorized

Peter is partnering up with Top Gear presenter, Chris Harris, to race an Aston Martin Vulcan in the Aston Martin Festival Race that supports the Le Mans 24 hour race, on Saturday June 16th.
